About Me

My name is Maria T Schlemm. I am a resident of Rutherford for the past 21 years. I recently celebrated my 50th birthday. I have spent my entire life surrounded by and enjoying dogs. As a child, my parents didn’t allow any pets in our home. I needed to get my fur fix from neighbor’s and family’s dogs. I have spent many hours at family gatherings and around my neighborhood hanging around with dogs. I would walk, pets and play with them and overall just love them. I have had my fair share of amazing dogs go in out of my life. At this stage in my life I find myself in a transitional stage. Having worked the past 27 years in the medical field of ophthalmology, I realized I needed a change. So now I spend my mornings, afternoons, and evenings walking dogs and caring for them.

If you are from the Bergen County area, we are the dog walkers that you want. We are based in Rutherford, but can commute to local Bergen County towns to help you exercise your dog.

A tired dog is a good dog. No matter the size of the dog, every pup needs a physical outlet to expend extra energy and maintain health and fitness. Regular exercise can improve your dog's mental health and reduce some behaviors done out of anxiety or boredom.
